To All Members - Kew CC January 27th 2009
Dear Member
Club Mark Accreditation
The Management Committee have decided to work towards this important part of the Middlesex County Board cricket programme.
Club Mark Accreditation is a standards based accreditation for sports clubs with junior sections. Achieving it would help us become even better organised and resourced as a club. A particular point is that obtaining any kind of financial support from a sports funding body will soon not be possible unless we have Club Mark Accreditation. Also by 2011 playing participation in top flight divisions will not be possible if clubs fail to have Club Mark Accreditation.
We are aiming to apply for Club Mark Accreditation by the end of April 2009. As you can imagine there is a lot involved. Robert Pinchen will be Project Lead with this and will need a great deal of support from many Club members. In particular there is a need to provide evidence in 42 categories ranging across many aspects of the club.
It would be much appreciated if you would assist the Management Committee and Robert Pinchen if they request your input at some stage in the project.
Should you wish to know further information regarding Club Mark Accreditation please visit the ECB website at http://www.ecb.co.uk/development/clubs-and-leagues/clubmark
We feel this is a very important endeavour and look forward to Kew Cricket Club qualifying in 2009.
Yours sincerely
Keith Armistead
